PALMDALE, Calif. — A man attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a parked SUV in Southern California was operate around and killed when the vehicle’s sleeping driver woke up and started out to drive absent, authorities said.
The dying occurred Tuesday evening in a retail parking whole lot in Palmdale, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported in a assertion.
Arriving deputies uncovered a Ford Excursion partly backed out of a parking stall, a gentleman lying on the floor and a smaller car or truck in the subsequent parking stall.
The office said the Tour driver was asleep when the smaller sized car or truck pulled up and a person of the four people inside got out and started sawing the catalytic converter off the Ford.
