The best part of this recipe is how simple it is to make, the thing that takes the longest is freezing the bananas! So if you have time to do that, you’re golden!
What if I told you that you could have ice cream any time you wanted (and I’m not talking about our ice cream bread recipe). Nope, it’s not a trick it’s an actually healthy ice cream made from only four ingredients and the main one is Banana!
Instead of Banana Ice Cream… let’s call it Banana NICE Cream. It’s going to be your new best friend, you’ll be able to serve it to your kids whenever they ask for a treat and not feel bad about it!

A couple of weeks ago we shared a delicious Kids Snacks: Banana Pudding Cups recipe with you and after our kids had it they wanted everything banana for a few days!
Of course, I thought it would be fun to make a banana ice cream and see if they noticed the difference from actual ice cream. They did, but they also didn’t care and said it was a delicious treat and proceeded to ask for it again and again for several days!

How to Make Banana Ice Cream
Nice Cream Ingredients You Need:
- 3 Frozen Bananas (take the peel off before freezing)
- 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
- 1/4 Cup Milk
Nice Cream instructions:
Place the Bananas, Cocoa Powder, and Peanut Butter in a blender and pulse for about 30 seconds. Add the 1/4 cup milk and continue to pulse until it’s the consistency of ice cream! Eat right away or freeze to enjoy later!

We like to add a chocolate drizzle, chocolate chips, and lots of other delicious toppings to ours but if you want to keep it pretty healthy just eat it like this without all the extra stuff on top!
If you cannot have peanut butter, we’ve used Almond butter in it instead and it’s just as good! I think that you could even leave that ingredient out and just enjoy a chocolatey banana ice cream without the peanut butter too!
