‘When she was cross-examined she said she did not remember if the word ‘no’ left her mouth and claims she did not battle or shout for help and just hoped it would be more than.

‘The defendant instructed in interview she was an enthusiastic spouse, who instigated sexual activity and said: ‘She had the time of her daily life.’

‘He said she was a slut and a ‘twisted minor slag,’ that explained to him she had sexual intercourse with strangers each individual weekend.’

‘She mentioned male two, the defendant, then arrived around in the darkness. She couldn’t see in which he experienced come from, and she heard him ask male just one ‘could I have a go,’ the choose mentioned.

CCTV proof confirmed the target and the not known gentleman climbing the park’s locked gates, with the female needing some help to clamber over.

‘She does not have any memory leaving McDonald’s, heading to Heaven, leaving Heaven with that male and likely to the gardens,’ Roden’s attorney Alexander Taylor-Camara told the jury. 

‘She was obviously determined to go into the park with that male. We can see her waiting around for him.

‘We know the two of them did engage in sexual action. It was a chaotic area that night and the teen reported: ‘Even if individuals did see us they would be just like: ‘Some people are obtaining sexual intercourse in the park.’

‘I don’t see how anyone didn’t see or do everything.’

The defence attorney reminded the jurors she also mentioned: ‘In my thoughts I was indicating ‘no’, but I don’t consider I claimed it loud enough for them to hear it.

‘I really don’t know if I mentioned no.’

Mr Taylor-Camara, defending, explained to jurors in his closing speech: ‘Mr Roden states, and has explained continuously, ‘I did not rape her’.

‘Drunken consent is still consent, we know being grownups, and what with encounters in lifestyle that when individuals do drink it can take away inhibitions.

‘So then when you consent when dis-inhibited by consume it’s nonetheless even so consent.’

Roden advised law enforcement in interview that at the time of the assault he experienced been sleeping rough for 6 months, experienced not experienced a shower in 5 months and was ‘wanted up north’ for a recall to jail.

He said he put in most of his times ‘begging for money and smoking cigarettes spice’ just after he was arrested and taken to Holborn police station.

He accepted he had unprotected intercourse with the youthful woman but denies rape.

The jury has also read that Roden has convictions for assault, harassment, criminal injury and threatening behaviour.
