A woman and child have died following a horror crash with a truck on a busy motorway


A woman and baby have died adhering to a horror crash with a truck on a fast paced motorway.

A silver SUV collided with a cement truck along the Hume Motorway below the Menangle Street overpass in Sydney at 11.20am on Monday. 

The woman driver and the little one died at the scene though a 2nd child was addressed by paramedics after they arrived at the crash by means of a Toll helicopter.

The truck driver was unhurt and will endure mandatory testing. 

Commuter chaos has ensued with targeted traffic developing up together the highway.

Stay Traffic encouraged motorists to use the M1 Princes Motorway or Picton Road as an alternative.

‘Motorists are recommended to stay away from the area,’ it wrote in a tweet.

‘All northbound motorists are currently being diverted off the motorway at Picton Street and should really think about making use of the M1 Princes Motorway or Appin Street alternatively.

‘Southbound motorists are staying diverted at Narellan Street wherever they can use Appin Street to vacation south.’
