The electronic mail despatched to mom and dad explained staff were ‘absolutely devastated’ and the incident prompted the centre to launch an investigation.

Capalaba Young children Early Learning Centre company manager Carly Pickett reported all transportation of small children would be suspended in the meantime.

‘We have met with the family this early morning and are keeping them informed by means of the system,’ Ms Pickett wrote.

She reported the department of Early Childhood Instruction and Care has been notified and is also finishing their personal investigation.

‘As you are mindful, we have suspended all transportation and excursions promptly while we undertake a entire overview of the insurance policies and treatments pertaining to the transportation of small children,’ Ms Pickett wrote.
