Information that the ‘black countrywide anthem’ will be sung for the duration of the Tremendous Bowl for the 3rd time in a row has prompted outrage on social media.

Sheryl Lee Ralph, the star of the comedy collection ‘Abbott Elementary,’ declared on Sunday that she would be singing ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ for the duration of the Super Bowl at Point out Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The music became an unofficial ‘black national anthem’ when it was adopted by the NAACP in 1917.

Its use is controversial and has been criticized for becoming divisive and failing to unify the place, as the nationwide anthem really should.

Others argue that its general performance is a favourable gesture that addresses the suffering of black Us citizens and is a phase to healing racial division.
