US Marshals in Philadelphia have arrested an 18-12 months-previous male in link with the murder of a Temple College police officer on Saturday evening.
Miles Pfeffer, 18, was arrested on Sunday just after he was accused of capturing Chris Fitzgerald, 31, many times, including in the head, ahead of heading by his pockets and seeking to steal his gun, according to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office environment.
At close to 7am – fewer than 12 several hours immediately after the taking pictures – he was positioned in Fitzgerald’s handcuffs as aspect of a tradition to honor fallen police officers, in accordance to the US Marshalls.
Pfeffer was arrested at his household dwelling in Buckingham Township in Bucks County – an affluent suburb of Philadelphia.

On Sunday, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced that Pfeffer will be billed with murder, murder of a regulation enforcement officer, theft, carjacking, possession of an instrument of criminal offense amongst other offenses.
Pfeffer was introduced to Philadelphia Law enforcement headquarters by a procession of legislation enforcement motor vehicles, and putting on Fitzgerald’s handcuffs.
‘That’s a tradition that we do any time there is a fallen officer. We felt it was important to recall officer Fitzgerald by the moment again placing his cuffs on the suspect,’ Supervisory Deputy US Marshal, Robert Clark explained at the time of the arrest.

In a further image he seems to be posing with a fan of dollars masking his deal with and once more with a pistol tucked into his waist band.
The photograph, uploaded just 11 months back, is ironically captioned: ‘Work smart not hard make stupid decisions facial area stupid effects.’
Philadelphia Governor Josh Shapiro tweeted on Saturday night time: ‘Lori and I are devastated for the spouse and children of the Temple University police officer who was killed in the line of duty tonight, bravely serving his community.’
A GoFundMe web site has been established to increase cash for Fitzgerald’s family members. On Sunday afternoon it experienced lifted just about $22,000.
