Teenager thugs armed with catapults killed 4 swans and hurt many others in assault at rescue sanctuary


Two ‘evil’ teenage thugs armed with catapults killed four swans and wounded at minimum a dozen in a savage assault at a rescue sanctuary. 

The thugs broke into the Swan Guidance sanctuary in Datchet, Berkshire last summer season and ‘tortured’ the animals by firing catapults at them for 20 minutes.

The ‘utterly evil’ attack was caught on CCTV. Wendy Hermon, who runs the sanctuary, reported the footage left her ‘physically sick’.

She claimed the two catapult-yielding teens would decide on up stones and fireplace them into the already hurt swans as the birds ‘cowered at the back again of their compound.’

Two cygnets and two adult swans were being killed in the attack and a amount of many others ended up wounded. Two endured lifetime-altering wounds.

‘Being straightforward we feel violated and have been shaken by what has transpired,’ sanctuary staff penned. ‘It has genuinely devastated all our volunteers.’

The rescue issued a plea asking for donations to help the suffering birds and to assist further plans to shift to a new web site.

‘We do not want to function wherever the welfare, peace and sanity of the swans in our treatment, who are recuperating from disease and personal injury, is threatened,’ the post mentioned. 

The charity continues to seek donations to assist with their rescue function.
