A Tottenham Hotspur fan was overwhelmed up by Sheffield United supporters right after Spurs’ 1- FA Cup decline on a shock excursion to rejoice his approaching 70th birthday.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police are now investigating the attack.

Mr Pankhurst’s son, father-of-two Craig, 44, branded the thugs who attacked his father as ‘street rats’.

He stated: ‘What a terrible close to his 70th birthday shock.
