Horrified readers to an interior-town Australian park have created the disturbing discovery of a decapitated wallaby head impaled on a stick alongside a walking path.
A local was strolling along the Hobart Rivulet, which runs by the CBD in Tasmania, when they noticed the animal head in excess of the weekend.
It is not recognised how or when the wallaby died, but there is some decay all around the jaw.

The resident said this was the next shocking incident of animal cruelty they experienced seen in the park.
‘About a calendar year back I noticed an additional animal strung up in a tree near the Wynyard St entrance, but this is horrific,’ they advised The Mercury.

RSPCA Tasmania CEO Jan Davis agreed surveillance cameras are necessary for the spot and known as the discovery ‘distressing’.
