chocolate sheet cake

For my birthday this year, I splurged on a extravagant cake from a fancy bakery. It was tall and grand and gorgeous. But the strange factor was…

My friend Ziva — of Chipwiches fame — also introduced around a grocery keep sheet cake and guess which just one was simply the most mouth watering? Hers. It was uncomplicated and perfect and all the young ones and grown ups dove in for seconds.

Then, this 7 days, I observed a New York Moments post proclaiming “Sheet Cakes Are the Best Cakes.” The frosting-to-cake ration is better on sheet cakes, the writer argued, and “not only are they less difficult to bake — no annoying trimming or crumb coatings required — but they also feed a crowd and journey well.”

Bought! Now I want to try out making some with the boys. Smitten Kitchen has a few that seem delectable — chocolate, confetti, and a sheet cake edition of the strawberry cake that changed our lives a couple of a long time in the past.

Do you have any sheet cake recipes you really like? Or solid cake views? I would enjoy to hear…

P.S. A slice-and-bake cookies flavor check, an apple pound cake, and what birthday cake do you like?
