My loves! How are you??? I’m so thrilled to catch up. We just obtained home after two months away, wherever we noticed my household in Cornwall, England, and then mates in Copenhagen. I’d like to share photographs, if you’d like to see. 1st up, a damp week in England…
We frequented my aunt Lulu, who took treatment of my grandmother for six several years ahead of she died this spring. We are crossing fingers and toes that we’ll be capable to maintain the relatives residence (we’re ready to see).
It was enjoyment to have the littlest cousins there. Like all fantastic English kids, they are staying indoctrinated to recognize milky tea and wet weather.
I didn’t not have baby fever. But can you blame me? All those chubby cheeks! The excellent guide I’m looking through by Irish author Colin Barrett has a line about kissing a moist cheek: “She kissed him, chastely, on the cheek, the wetness of her pores and skin when she pulled away adhering like a decal to Danny’s skin.” Never you know particularly what that feels like?
We laughed about all the words utilized to describe the weather: misting, spitting, drizzling, sprinkling, drumming, hammering, pissing, pouring, bucketing, pelting, teeming, driving, chucking down… it also felt like a good opportunity to train the boys the word ‘ominous.’
Nevertheless, they bravely place on wetsuits and jumped!
Toby and his cousin Bo have been so adorable because they were toddlers (here’s a small slideshow). They’re 4 months aside and search far more like twins just about every yr.
Adolescents be teenagers, as they say, haha.
Due to the fact people often descend like wolves on any meals that appears, my cousin had a professional suggestion for feeding on chips: conceal them in a tea mug and no 1 will know.
This indication also made me laugh — so polite!
Finally, the solar arrived out for the previous few times, which was a handle.
Thank you so a great deal to my aunts Lulu and Janey for constantly having this kind of good care of us…
And to my grandfather and grandmother prior to them. (Below I am at age nine.)
We enjoy you, Cornwall. See you future yr. xoxoxo
P.S. Our England trips as a result of the years, like when Toby and Anton were being toddlers and my packing record this calendar year.
