Challenged to describe his boutique lodge manufacturer, which he started to rejoice Black tradition and cater specifically to Black vacationers, Damon Lawrence claims Keep Homage is “soulful and heartfelt hospitality.”
Lawrence commenced his hospitality profession as a front-desk agent at the Thompson Lodge Group’s Donovan Residence Resort in midtown Washington, D.C. From there, he moved inside of management ranks with organizations these types of as Ritz-Carlton, IHG Lodges & Resorts and Dusit Global. Extra not too long ago, he owned and operated Hausotel, an ground breaking getaway rental manufacturer that managed a $3 million portfolio of attributes in Southern California.
In August 2014, he launched Homage Hospitality, which had as its very first lodge The City Resort in Oakland, California.

“What I like about our culture, when you go from city to metropolis, and you search at what exists culturally in just about every metropolis, that’s the attractiveness of our persons is that each city has its unique heritage that you can pay homage to, and that you can appreciate and its special figures as perfectly,” Lawrence claimed.
