New York Reaches $229 Billion Budget Agreement Without Addressing ‘Housing Crisis’

New York state, after several extensions, has finally reached an agreement on a $229 billion budget in the fiscal year 2024 that began this month. But there was one glaring miss when it comes to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s key administration agenda: address what Hochul has called “the housing crisis.”
