Denver Nuggets’ NBA Finals triumph has left Arsenal as the only Stan Kroenke-owned club to not win a championship.
The American billionaire has enjoyed huge success with his sports teams in the US over the past 18 months.

In February 2022, his NFL side – the Los Angeles Rams – won their second Super Bowl under his ownership when they beat the Cincinnati Bengals.
Lacrosse outfit Colorado Mammoth then won the NLL Championship just a few months later – their second title since Kroenke assumed control in 2004.
Ice Hockey giants Colorado Avalanche then won their second Stanley Cup under Kroenke’s ownership since 2000 when they beat Tampa Bay Lightning a week after Colorado Mammoth’s success.
And Denver Nuggets’ NBA Finals win over Miami Heat have added to Kroenke’s ever-growing trophy cabinet to complete a stunning year-and-a-half for the 75-year-old.


Even Kroenke’s MLS side Colorado Rapids won the MLS Cup in 2010 to leave Arsenal as his only team that have not won a league title under his ownership.
Though the Gunners have won the FA Cup on four occasions since he gained controlling interest of the north Londoners in 2011.
Kroenke has been a deeply unpopular figure amongst the Arsenal fanbase during the majority of his tenure.
A lack of investment saw the club fail to challenge for top honours both domestically and in Europe.

Meanwhile supporters congregated to the Emirates in their thousands to protest against Kroenke after Arsenal were one of six Premier League sides that had initially agreed to join the hated European Super League.
But fans have begun to change their opinion on ‘Silent Stan’ with boss Mikel Arteta being backed in the transfer market in the last two summer windows.
This has coincided with Arsenal returning to the Champions League for the first time since 2017.
And Kroenke is set to open his purse strings to bring West Ham skipper Declan Rice in a club-record £100million move.
