Chelsea and Newcastle pay tribute as agent confirms news


Christian Atsu has been discovered useless pursuing the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey, his agent has claimed.

Ghana international Atsu, who was 31, experienced been participating in for Turkish Super Lig facet Hatayspor.

He produced 121 appearances for Newcastle and was aspect of the team which won promotion back to the Premier League in 2017.

Atsu also experienced mortgage spells at Everton and Bournemouth whilst contracted to Chelsea.

The Blues wrote on Twitter: “Everyone at Chelsea Football Club is devastated to find out of the tragic passing of our previous participant, Christian Atsu. Our feelings go out to his loved ones and friends.”

The Toffees wrote on Twitter: “We are deeply saddened by today’s news that Christian Atsu has been identified lifeless pursuing the earthquake in Turkey previously this month.

“Our ideas are with his family members, mates, colleagues at
Hatayspor and anyone afflicted by this tragic event that has claimed so many lives.”

And the Magpies wrote on Twitter: “We are profoundly saddened to discover that Christian Atsu has tragically shed his lifetime in Turkey’s devastating earthquakes.
