Floyd Mayweather hilariously trolls Ryan Garcia's promoter Oscar De La Hoya from inside the ring after Gervonta Davis KO victory

The only man who may have enjoyed Gervonta Davis’ KO victory over Ryan Garcia more than the man himself was Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather has been a mentor figure for Davis throughout his career and he was there to support him for his fight against Ryan Garcia on Saturday night.

And Mayweather was impressed watching on from ringside

After Davis won by body shot knockout in the seventh round, Mayweather joined Tank in the ring to celebrate.

Footage then emerged of Mayweather calling out to and taunting his old rival and Garcia’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, who was sat at ringside.

“Hey Oscar,” Mayweather shouted at De La Hoya, pointing at him and then bursting out laughing.

Mayweather and De La Hoya have history going all the way back to 2007 when they clashed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

It ended in a split decision victory for Mayweather who went on to retire from boxing with an unbeaten record of 50-0.

At the time it was the most lucrative fight in the history of boxing, generating over $130 million in revenue.

De La Hoya and Mayweather had a famous battle in 2007

As recently as last year, De La Hoya had been calling out Mayweather for a rematch, as he told DAZN: “Obviously, he’s [Mayweather] all about the money.

“This would be probably the biggest fight out there for him. I believe it would be bigger than him fighting McGregor. It would be bigger than him fighting Logan Paul or whoever he’s bound to fight next.

“I think that people want to see real fights. People want to see legend versus legend, champion versus champion. This is what we do.

“This is what we’ve done for practically all our lives. People, not that they’re getting tired of seeing these exhibitions, but people want to see real fights.”

De La Hoya added: “I strongly feel that a fight with Floyd would be massive, would be huge. That alone would attract Floyd Mayweather. I strongly feel a fight with me and Floyd can easily generate five million homes.”
