Floyd Mayweather is already beginning to leave quite the impression on his first grandchild.
The retired 50-0 boxing legend has four biological children and one adopted son, with his eldest daughter Iyanna ‘Yaya’ Mayweather, 23, becoming a mother two years ago.
The father of her child is rapper Kentrell DeSean Gaulden (better known as NBA YoungBoy), who has eleven children with nine different women at the age of 23.
As such, they named their son Kentrell DeSean Gaulden Jr (or KJ for short).
NBA YoungBoy is now married to Jazlyn Mychelle – the mother of two of his other children.
He is no longer on good terms with Floyd Mayweather or Yaya Mayweather following an incident in which Yaya stabbed Lapattra Jacobs (mother to another of NBA YoungBoy’s children) at his home while Jacobs was pregnant.
Yaya pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to six years of probation.
As a result of this, she is now seemingly bringing up her son without his father’s involvement.
Instead, two-year-old KJ has found a prominent male role model in the form of his grandfather.
Over the past week, Floyd Mayweather has been posting videos of himself and his grandson on Instagram, even making an account for KJ.
The first of these clips showed him shadowboxing on a kitchen counter, showing remarkable technique for a toddler.
And the latest video saw the two-year-old watching in awe as his grandfather went through his legendary pads routine in the gym.
An excited KJ, wearing his own oversized pair of gloves, got hyped up after Floyd Mayweather finished and charged around the ring throwing punches everywhere.
He may well be one to watch in the future.
