Footage shows Jordan Henderson already in Al Ettifaq training ahead of mega-money switch from Liverpool

Jordan Henderson has seemingly been filmed taking part in an Al Ettifaq training session, despite his move not being officially confirmed yet.

The Liverpool captain was also allegedly spotted shooting a farewell video at Anfield for the Reds ahead of his £12million move to the Saudi Pro League club.

Since-deleted footage posted on Twitter appears to show the 33-year-old taking part in some training drills with his new teammates in Croatia.

The England international is set to earn £700,000-a-week and reunite with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who took over as Al Ettifaq manager earlier this month.

But before either Liverpool or Al Ettifaq had the chance to officially confirm the Reds’ skipper’s transfer, footage uploaded onto social media has shown Henderson has already started his new chapter.

Henderson didn’t travel with Liverpool for their pre-season, with the midfielder allowed to stay at home.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has so refused to speak much on the impending transfer, too.

He said: “As long as things are not really finally decided, we don’t have to talk about it.

“There will be a moment where we probably have to talk about it, but it’s not now. I don’t know that anything is decided, which means nothing to say in the moment.

“In the end, all of these decisions [over players] are made by me.

“And because I respect the players a lot, it’s usually with consent. It was in this case, and it is all fine.”
