The forward, who is contracted to Atletico Madrid, has fallen out of favour under Diego Simeone and was allowed to join the Blues on loan in January.

However after scoring just four goals in 20 appearances in all competitions, the west Londoners decided against turning his temporary stay into a permanent switch.

With Felix set to return to Madrid, it’s yet to be determined where he’ll be playing his future next term.

But after following Turkish giants Galatasaray on Instagram, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive.

The club’s president, Dursun Ozbek, has even chimed in on the speculation, as he hinted that a potential deal could be on the cards.

He told Mundo Deportivo: “The fact that Joao Felix is following Galatasaray shows how important Galatasaray is.”

Having arrived at Atletico for £113million back in 2019, it’s unlikely that the Spanish side will let the player go on the cheap.

Atletico’s CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin has previously spoken about Felix’s future, suggesting that he could be sold if that’s what the player wants.

He said: “Felix is the biggest bet the club has ever made.

“I think he’s a high-performance player, one of the best in the world.

“But, for reasons that it’s not worth naming now, the relationship between him and the coach is not good, nor is his motivation.

“I would love for it to continue, but that is not the player’s intention.”
