'It's a f***ing fight' - Anthony Joshua reacts to post-fight altercation with Jermaine Franklin and says he wants Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder next

After beating Jermaine Franklin, Anthony Joshua wants to jump straight into a clash with Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder.

The former two-time heavyweight world champion beat Franklin by unanimous decision, but he has admitted that he was disappointed with his performance.

“I am a bit disappointed,” Joshua told talkSPORT.

“But, it’s for the fans, however they felt, however the fans felt is what I feel because I’m here for them.”

When asked why he was not pleased with how he fought, Joshua replied: “It wasn’t a knockout and the people are bored of 12-rounders, it’s annoying.”

Arguably the most dramatic moment of the night came after the final bell, as Joshua almost triggered a mass brawl with Franklin’s team before they were separated by security and even Tony Bellew tried to get involved.

“You don’t really want to start scrapping in the ring, but it’s a f***ing fight,” Joshua said, as he addressed the incident.

“It’s so different in this ring, people don’t understand. I think you saw it in Saudi, it’s really different in the ring and I’ve got to learn to control certain aspects of who I am as a professional.”

Joshua added: “You’ve got to be a bit dirty in there, it’s a fight.”

The Brit was then asked who he wanted to take on next and he responded: “It would be an honour to get Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder.”

With that being said, at the post-fight press conference, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn admitted that Dillian Whyte is the opponent he would most like to see AJ fight next.

Although when asked about the potential Fury clash, Hearn said: “That fights all about timing and it would be a difficult fight not to take.”
