Jimmy Bullard was chased round the talkSPORT studio by British heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley during Drive. Yes, this really happened.
The former West Ham, Wigan, Fulham and Hull man was a special guest on Tuesday’s Drive and was his usual enthusiastic and hilarious self.

And things took a very unexpected turn, even by Bullard’s standards, when he challenged Wardley, who boasts a 16-0 record in his professional career, to chase and capture him.
After repeated insistence that Wardley couldn’t capture him, the 28-year-old took Bullard up on his challenge.
In Wardley’s defence, there’s a large table that separated him and Bullard but the retired footballer showed an impressive turn of pace to dodge his imposing opponent in two laps of the studio.
As Wardley gave up and burst into laughter, a triumphant Bullard yelled: “Yeah, you want a piece of this? Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee! I told ya. No one’s ready for the movement of the Bully!”

After his appearance on the show, Wardley tweeted: “The ol’ Bulldog’s still got it in the locker [crying laughter emojis].”
Drive host Andy Goldstein, eager to make sure Bullard didn’t get too big for his boots, reported that he saw Bullard running past him with a face of ‘pure panic’.
Bullard didn’t dispute that, suggesting he hasn’t felt that scared since a confrontation with football hard man Duncan Ferguson during his playing days.

Bullard quipped: “I’ve only ever had that face with big Duncan!”
Never change, Bulldog!
