Jurgen Klopp launched an astonishing attack on Paul Tierney in his post-match press conference, risking punishment from the FA.
Liverpool managed to claim victory in a bonkers match at Anfield on Sunday, beating Tottenham 4-3 with a last-gasp winner having relinquished a three-goal lead.
Diogo Jota was the hero, after escaping a red card, when he latched on to a shoddy backpass to break Spurs hearts.
The Reds had raced into a 3-0 lead after 15 minutes when Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah scored to make it another unhappy weekend for the north London club.
But Harry Kane struck before half-time as Heung-min Son made it 3-2 late into the contest while Richarlison netted in injury time for his first Spurs goal in the Premier League.
And while the away fans still celebrated, Jota landed the winner in extraordinary circumstances while Klopp was furious with the refereeing throughout the contest.
Breaking into an astonishing tirade against referee Tierney, the Liverpool boss said: “How they can give a foul on Mohamed Salah [before Spurs’ third goal].
“We have our history with [Paul] Tierney, I really don’t know what he has against us, he has said there is no problems but that cannot be true.

“How he looks at me, I don’t understand it. In England nobody has to clarify these situations, it’s really tricky and hard to understand.
“My celebration was unnecessary, which is fair but what he said to me when he gave me the yellow card is not okay.”
Klopp was referring to an incident where Salah dashed down the wing and caught Ben Davies with a flailing arm that left the Welshman with a bloody lip.
Tierney blew up for a foul, which eventually led to Tottenham scoring the equaliser.
And when Jota scored the winner, Klopp celebrated wildly in the fourth official’s face before pulling his hamstring.
The antics earned him a yellow card from Tierney while the Reds manager also added: “We got away with it thank to Diogo Jota.
“It makes it spectacular and everybody goes home buzzing, but I am the manager of the team so I have to mention everything else as well. In 3 days’ time we have to do better.”
Talking about how Jota could have been sent off, Klopp said: “I understand that. Ryan [Mason] has to worry about other stuff.
“They’re such a good football team, Tottenham, they have to play better football.
“They can’t just counter-attack, they have to play better football with that team. Diogo Jota has the foot high but he’s not going for the head.
“I heard Oliver Skipp could’ve had a red card. Did he speak about that as well?
“Wanting Diogo Jota off the pitch, worry about other stuff.”
