Lionel Messi is ready to join MLS side Inter Miami on a quite incredible contract after turning down offers from Saudi Arabia and Barcelona.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner revealed that he will be joining up with David Beckham’s club in an interview on Wednesday afternoon.

Messi turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia while also deciding against rejoining his former club due to concerns over their financial situation.
The global icon has instead chosen to head to the USA and is set to be handed a remarkable contract for doing so.
Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami contract
Although the details of the contract are yet to be confirmed, various reports have provided an insight into what it will include.
Spanish outlet Sport claim that Messi’s deal will be worth $54m per season, with the Argentine guaranteed to become the MLS’ highest earner.

But his salary is only the start, as The Athletic report that the contract at Inter Miami will also involve the global star receiving shares of Apple and Adidas’ revenue.
The MLS runs a streaming package on Apple TV which involves fans paying a subscription fee for a Season Pass to watch all of the league’s fixtures.
And Messi is now set to receive a share of the revenue generated by these subscriptions following his arrival.
There will be a similar agreement with Adidas as he looks set to receive a cut of the profits made by the company.
Messi’s Inter Miami contract
- A share of Apple revenue generated by new MLS Season Pass sales
- A share of profits made by Adidas resulting from his involvement in the MLS.
- An option of part-ownership of a team in the MLS after playing contract ends.

Sources claim that the 35-year-old has been offered a profit-sharing agreement which will see him receive a share of the money earned by Adidas resulting from his involvement in the MLS.
The sportswear giant supplies the kits to all 29 teams in the MLS as well as being the league’s footwear and ball sponsor.
With Messi’s impact expected to be gigantic for all parties, having a cut of the profits made from his arrival will have been a huge pull for the icon.
ESPN have also reported that the icon is being offered an option to take part-ownership of an MLS team at the end of his contract.
Whether it be Inter Miami or not, Messi has the chance to remain a part of the league once his playing deal runs out.
So with possible ownership and a share in two of the world’s biggest companies, the icon’s move to the MLS is looking set to be a profitable one.
