Manny Pacquiao has said he will shoulder the medical costs for Kenneth Egano, a boxer who recently collapsed in the ring.
Egano took on Jason Facularin on Saturday night in an eight-round contest in Cavite, Philippines.

The bout took place on Pacquiao’s ‘Blow by Blow’ boxing event and Egano collapsed in the ring before the result was announced.
It was eventually confirmed that Egano had won the fight, but by this time he had been rushed to hospital.
Pacquiao reportedly told his staff to make sure Egano received all the medical attention he requires, saying: “There is nothing more precious than human life.”
Per reports, Egano remains at the City of Imus Doctors Hospital where he underwent surgery on Sunday.
Egano is 22 years old and he is 6-1 as a professional boxer, with 3 KO’s, while his opponent Facularin was unbeaten prior to this fight with a record of 4-0.
This comes after Pacquiao was recently ordered to pay over £4 million to Conor McGregor’s management company, Paradigm Sports, following a court case.
Pacquiao had initially signed with Paradigm Sports in a two-fight deal in 2020 with the expectation that he would fight former two-weight UFC champion, McGregor, but that clash never came to fruition.
As such, a jury in California awarded damages in Paradigm Sport’s favour totalling the initial £2.63 million that Pacquiao was given, as well as an extra £1.43 million.
With that being said, that figure could rise to £6.4 million due to legal fees.
McGregor reacted to the news, as he tweeted: “Manny owes 8 [million dollars] in all. 5.1 he owes and then 2.9 in legal fees. Legal fees are heavy but that’s what we do. Heavy weight operations.”
