Originally a striker, Joelinton has successfully adopted a central midfield role at Newcastle under Eddie Howe.
His performances were so impressive in his first season in the position that he won the club’s Player of the Year award in 2022.
Joelinton continued to marvel in their most recent campaign as Newcastle secured Champions League football for the first time in 20 years.
One fan has been on hand to show his gratitude to the Brazilian as he said he would name a racecourse after him.

“Ermmm, Joelinton,” he responded when asked such a question, before being quizzed on why by a confused reporter.
His answer was straightforward to say the least: “Cause Joelinton.”
The reporter again seemed baffled by such a suggestion and wanted to know what he was on about.
Again, the Newcastle fan kept it simple: “What’s Joelinton? Plays for Newcastle, he’s f****** mint.”
Joelinton’s struggles in front of goal have now transitioned to commanding performances in midfield.
He will soon kick-off his fourth season at the club, one that fans will be hoping can bring silverware back to St James’ Park.
Should he continue such performances under Howe then such a prospect is certainly not out of the question.
Joelinton also looks set to be joined in midfield by AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali as Newcastle continue their impressive rise of late.
