Odegaard puts Gunners in front before Pope denies Saka and Martinelli in frantic clash

Arsenal travel to face Newcastle this afternoon aiming to keep their fading Premier League title hopes alive.

The Gunners have allowed Man City to claim top spot and will now need their rivals to slip up if they want to lift the trophy this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side ended their four-game winless run last time out against Chelsea and will be hoping to make it back-to-back victories today.

But the Magpies are arguably the toughest opponents to face, with Eddie Howe’s men only losing one game at St James’ Park all season.

The Toon are closing in on securing a Champions League place for the first time since 2002 and another home win would prove to be a big step towards achieving their goal.
