Tottenham’s record signing Richarlson has detailed how Antonio Conte made him suffer for asking for more minutes.
The £60million Brazilian striker had a nightmare debut season in north London, registering just three goals and three assists in 35 games.

The only highlight of a troubled campaign was two goals against Marseille in the Champions League group stages, but once through to the knockouts, Spurs put in a limp display against AC Milan and were sent packing.
After that game, Richarlison spoke to TNT Sports and said he ‘couldn’t understand’ Conte’s decision not to start him against Milan.
Well the Spurs forward has now revealed that it wasn’t the wisest decision to question Conte in the media.
“I made a mistake in granting an interview in which I asked to play more,” Richarlsion explained on the Que Papinho podcast.

“Later, I apologised and said he could punish me. He replied that he was the boss and he went on to prove it to me.
“He spent almost two hours scolding me in front of everyone in a team meeting.”
Following their knockout to Milan, Spurs beat Nottingham Forest 3-1, but then had an incredible collapse against Southampton to draw 3-3 after leading 3-1.
Richarlison went off in tears in that match after picking up an early injury, and was consoled by Conte, but the Italian then went on a sensational rant at his players and employers and was sacked in the following days.
