Dettori has the limelight at Royal Ascot regardless, but in his final year the spotlight will be on the jockey throughout.
Whatever horse he rides has a semblance of hope from punters at whatever the price, as many just bet on the jockey over anything else.
But he has a chance to get a few big winners this year.
The 52-year-old is already confirmed to be riding six on Tuesday, at least two on Wednesday, and around four on Thursday, Friday and Saturday each.
The jockey’s best chances for winners according to the odds and potential, are Inspiral at 2/1, Chaldean 9/4, Laurel 11/4 and Gregory 2/1.
The Italian has unconfirmed rides on Saturday on a few promising horses, but Free Wind at 3/1 could provide him with a final day win on the last day of the festival.
