The Ultimate Fighter is a reality TV series that sees selected combatants face off in a bid to win a UFC contract.
It started in 2005 and this is the 31st season; however, this is the first year in which Conor McGregor stars.

The Irishman is set to return to the Octagon later this year against Michael Chandler.
McGregor suffered a horrible leg break in 2021 and has been bulking up and working out ahead of his comeback.
However, he also found a chance to coach some of the contestants on this season’s Ultimate Fighter.
The Ultimate Fighter Season 31: How to watch
This season of The Ultimate Fighter sees Team McGregor take on Team Chandler before they come face-to-face.

And because of that, there is a huge amount of hype around.
The first episode of season 31 aired on Tuesday, May 30. However, it won’t be available to watch in the UK until Thursday, June 1.
The whole series consists of just three episodes and the entire thing will be broadcast on BT Sport. Each episode will start at 10pm UK time.
BT Sport customers can also stream the card through their mobile devices or laptops through the BT Sport App.

The Ultimate Fighter: What has been said?
McGregor has been accused of getting a few fighters thrown off this season of The Ultimate Fighter.
However, he has denied those claims in usual McGregor style.
In response to the initial rumours, he said: “I only know one guy on this show and he put himself forward for it.
“And he is now, after today, set to fight the No. 1 seed! I didn’t ask nor request nothing! And I certainly didn’t have people removed. I’m just tryna [trying to] get back in the mix myself so f*** off.”
But Mitch Ramirez believes that McGregor got he and some other competitors kicked off the show.
Speaking after filming, he said: “One of the producers came in and he looked upset. I believed him. His body language, what he was telling me sounded like the truth.
“What he told me is that ‘Conor landed today, and he brought two of his guys with him. He’s demanding they’re on the show. He’s got the prospects. Unfortunately, you have the least amount of fights on your record so you’re being replaced.’
“To me, that was such a blow. Such a nut shot, honestly. I remember sitting there being stunned and being, like, ‘Is there anything we can do? What the f***?’ And they’re like, ‘We’re sorry, dude, it is what it is. It’s Conor.’
“I get it. I understand who Conor McGregor is. I understand the way business works. I’m smart enough to understand that it wasn’t personal, but it is personal ‘cause it’s my life. And it’s everything I’ve put myself into for my whole life, honestly.”
