Hamilton tips
2.15: Midnight Lir 15/8 (NAP)
Looks to have the best form of this field and the only one with a rating, so sets the clear standard.
Did well to finish second behind Je Ne Sais Quoi at Thirsk and was a similar distance away here when fourth off of Jungle Mate.
His form is boosted nicely too as Barg, who finished third at Thirsk, went on to win by a huge distance at Ripon and the two-year-old by Soldier’s Call also went on to Pontefract on Monday afternoon, finishing second to the highly rated Twilight Romance.
On paper Midnight Lir should be dangerously rated for this and could be close to progressing on just his second run at this distance.
3.17: Austrian Theory 5/1 & Eilean Dubh combination exacta
A great contest this Class 2 Handicap over 1m½f with three of the six runners having a win over course and distance before. Two of those get the pick to complete the exacta bet as they look like a great combination for a price.
At the time of writing, Eilean Dubh is the 5/2 favourite and Austrian Theory looks overpriced at 5/1. Joe Fanning is among the leaders in the jockey championship this year despite having a lot less rides than his counterparts.
Him and trainer Charlie Johnston are enjoying plenty of wins this season, especially together, and the pair have a 10% and 11% win-rate going into this after a very busy couple of weeks and a plethora of runners and rides.

Austrian Theory didn’t appreciate the drop in trip to closer to a mile last time out at Beverley, but won well ahead of Dutch Decoy in the Derby festival at Epsom.
He will prefer the rain to steer clear though but it is set to to stay dry through Monday night and through Tuesday.
Eilean Dubh gets the tongue tie on for the first time and was tipped at a nice price until ruled a non-runner at Newcastle at the weekend.
Was just behind Maysong at Sandown but was carrying well over a stone and now there’s only 10lb difference to help reverse those placings.
3.47: Roaring Legend 7/4
Won by a nice margin ahead of Liable last time out when upped to 1m4f for the first time.
New combination of headgear and new distance clearly helped and should add to getting off the mark for the first time with a win here.
And it will be long overdue over the last couple of weeks for a much needed win for Danny Muscutt and also trainer James Ferguson.

8.30: Lucky Fifteen 11/8
Won twice in a row now and has seemingly found that winning formula with jockey Hector Crouch getting the best out of this lightly raced three-year-old trained by Ralph Beckett in the Valmont colours.
Was upped to 1m2f and gelded for this year and has already gone up from a rating of 64 in May to 78 for this after being upped a further 5lb for his latest success at Goodwood.
Beat a total of 12 runners at the start of June and looks open to progress.
