The exciting Zurich Classic team event is coming up on the PGA Tour this week.
Elite golf has enjoyed a superb April so far with Jon Rahm claiming Masters glory in the year’s first major before Matt Fitzpatrick held off Jordan Spieth to win the RBC Heritage last weekend.
Now, the Tour will head to Louisiana for the Zurich Classic.
Formed in 2017, the tournament sees 80 teams of two face off in a unique event on the calendar.
Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele secured victory last year, beating the team of Sam Burns and Billy Horschel by two strokes.
Zurich Classic 2023: Date and start time
This will be the sixth edition of the team event at the Zurich Classic.
It is being held from Thursday, April 20 to Sunday, April 23.
It is taking place at TPC Louisiana in New Orleans – the course will be a par 72 and a maximum of 7,425 yards in length.

Zurich Classic 2023: Format
The Zurich Classic is a team stroke play event and sees pairs battle it out over four rounds in two different formats.
The field will compete in better ball (fourball) rounds on the first and third days and then alternate shot (foursome) for the second and fourth rounds.
There will be a cut after Friday’s second round is complete and 33 teams, plus ties, will progress to the weekend.
It is traditionally a high-scoring affair giving that each team effectively has two chances on the two better ball rounds.
Cantlay and Schauffele won with a record score of 29 under par last year.
Zurich Classic 2023: Field and tee times
The tournament is not a designated event but still boosts plenty of star names in the field.
And the 80 teams and their tee times for the opening two rounds have been confirmed and can be found here.
Defending champions Cantlay and Schauffele have returned while Fitzpatrick will play alongside his brother Alex who only turned pro last year.
Max Homa and Collin Morikawa are together while Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim make up another exciting group.
Legends John Daly and David Duval will also tee it up.
Zurich Classic 2023: What has been said?
US Open champion Fitzpatrick enjoyed another stellar week at the RBC Heritage, beating Spieth in a thrilling play-off.
He said: “It’s hard to describe.
“I said to Billy (Foster, his caddie) it doesn’t get better than this, walking down here, it’s a course I dreamed of playing when I was young.
“I managed to play it a couple of times with my dad and this one means more than anything.
“Of every single one on the calendar, this is the one that I’d want to win most.
“So far I’ve been very lucky in my career, I’ve won a major and now this and multiple times in Europe as well and this one is just very, very special.”
