Tyson Fury explains why he doesn’t hate Oleksandr Usyk but gives brutal fight prediction

Despite having had some choice words for Oleksandr Usyk in the past, Tyson Fury has revealed he doesn’t hate the Ukrainian.

‘The Gypsy King’ and Usyk have gone back and forth endlessly over the last year, as they have attempted to make a clash for the undisputed heavyweight world titles that is yet to come to fruition.

If Fury and Usyk fight it will be for all the belts in the heavyweight division

Fury has labelled his Ukrainian rival a ‘little rat b******’, a ‘middleweight’, a ‘rabbit’, ‘gappy-teethed’ and ‘little s***house’ among other things.

But, according to the man himself, these insults do not come from a place of hate, as Fury explained how he feels about Usyk to @FoxifyTrade on Twitter Spaces.

“I would love to fight Usyk for the undisputed titles,” Fury said, “But at the minute Usyk is running like a cheater, he is running so fast, he can’t get away from me quick enough.

“The only reason this fight hasn’t happened is Usyk wants more bags, he wants more money.

“So, I don’t blame him for that because at the end of the day it’s a short career and it’s a business.

“So, it’s not a personal thing of ‘I hate Usyk’ or ‘oh my god Usyk didn’t fight me for whatever reasons,’ this is strictly business.

“Usyk is waiting for the big money, the £100 million he’s going to get from the Saudi’s for a fight in November or whenever it’s going to happen.

“So, I can’t hold it against him. I know he’s a family man and he’s got mouths to feed, so I wish him luck, it’s not personal, it’s a sport for one and a business for two.

“But, when we do finally meet, I’m going to annihilate him, that’s a fact.”

Usyk recently signed with Saudi-Arabian based promotional company Skills Challenge Entertainment, who have said they will soon be making a ‘take it or leave it’ offer to Fury.

This will be for a clash in December as part of an ambitious plan to host Fury vs Usyk and Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder on the same night.
