‘The Gypsy King’ is not the only Fury to have called out Anthony Joshua, as now his cousin Hughie has done the same.
Hughie is trained by his father and Tyson’s uncle, Peter Fury, and he is a former heavyweight world title challenger, having taken on Joseph Parker in 2017 and he lost by majority decision.

He has a record of 26-3, with 15 KO’s, and he is on a three-fight win streak, but Hughie has not fought since 2021 and so is desperate to get back in the ring.
And the man he is targeting is Joshua, as when talking about AJ he told Pro Boxing Fans: “I’d absolutely blitz him.
“They’re the fights I want. Joshua honestly wouldn’t stand a chance.
“He’s a complete stiff altogether. There’s nothing about him whatsoever. I think he’s a stiff and it couldn’t be an easier fight.”

While it is unlikely that Hughie gets a fight with Joshua anytime soon, it is not completely out of the realm of possibility.
Joshua is currently attempting to set up a fight for August 12, with Dillian Whyte his desired opponent, but there have been some stumbling blocks.
Initially Whyte was not happy with the money on offer and he didn’t want a rematch clause, so AJ has removed it, but it is yet to be seen whether the fight will get made.
Should it not come to fruition then Joshua’s promoter Hearn has said they will consider other opponents and that is where Hughie could come in, as AJ wants an interim fight before taking on Deontay Wilder in December in Saudi Arabia.
