Teenage lady ‘is raped even though going for walks by city centre park in early early morning attack’ 


A male has been arrested right after a teenage girl was attacked and raped in a public park. 

The teenage lady was attacked and raped in an early morning incident on Sunday in a town centre park in Southampton. 

The 27-12 months-aged person was arrested and questioned by expert detectives soon after the violent assault and is currently being held in custody. 

Law enforcement were being right away instructed of the rape and rushed to Palmerston Park exactly where it was considered the younger man was arrested.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said on Sunday: ‘We are desirable for witnesses as component of our investigation into a rape in Southampton this morning.

‘We have been identified as at 7.07am currently to Palmerston Park in Southampton to a report that a girl in her late teens had been raped. 

‘A 27-12 months-aged gentleman has been arrested on suspicion of rape and continues to be in police custody at this time.

‘Scenes of crime keep on being at the park carrying out forensic lookups for clues while we get proof and perform inquiries as part of our investigation.’

Detective Chief Inspector Andrea Douglas, main the investigation, explained: ‘We are not searching for any person else in link with this incident, but we still want to listen to from anybody who could have observed what happened.
